The programme line Secure Land Communications (SLC) at Airbus Defence and Space develops, markets, delivers and maintains professional and land mobile radio (PMR/LMR) networks based on Tetra and Tetrapol technologies and offers a wide range of radio solutions and devices for customers worldwide, e.g. police and rescue organizations. The programme line employs nearly 1400 people in 20 countries. In Finland, Airbus Defence and Space Oy employs around 350 people in Helsinki and Jyväskylä.

The telecommunications division of Airbus in Finland is looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join our Integration and Verification team in Helsinki. 

As a Test Automation Engineer you are responsible for developing, deploying and improving test automation for supporting the verification of our new products under development and the entire telecommunication system designed for public safety and security. The role includes designing, planning, developing and reporting the activities related to test automation in our integration and verification team. You will help to automate our integration and verification test scenarios further. The target is to help to eliminate problems in developed software for mission and business critical telecommunication systems.  

You will work closely with testing engineers, software designers, system architects and other project team members in agile way to improve the quality and maturity of our systems and products.

The tasks you perform as part of the team are challenging and varying - you may work with enthusiastic people from all over the world and be involved in different stages of test automation development and deployment.


What we expect of you

  • Master or Bachelor degree in Engineering 
  • At least 2 years’ experience in the fields of software development/ testing/test automation
  • Continuous Integration (CI), Powershell
  • Robot Framework, Xunit
  • Python scripting, Bash, C(++)
  • Analytical skills to develop testing tools and test automation in rather complex telecommunication environments
  • Self-guided and driven attitude, willingness to develop state of the art products helping to rescue lives
  • Motivated team player who aims for organizational and own development
  • Fluent spoken and written English skills
  • Experience in using Jira, Xray and Confluence as well as basic understanding of IP network (for telecom) and TETRA is considered a plus

The position requires basic security clearance approval from Finnish authorities.
