Secure Land Communications (SLC), an Airbus business unit, offers advanced communication and collaboration solutions to gather, process and deploy intelligence. The telecommunications division of Airbus in Finland is now looking for a trainee to join the team in Tetra Infra Laboratory in our Helsinki office. This is your chance to work with a complete telecommunication system in the lab and participate in projects using continuous integration and agile development.
You get to work with interesting things
Your main tasks include participation in test lab activities, such as installation and maintenance of servers and operating systems (CentOS, RedHat, Windows), server virtualization (KVM, VMware) and IP routing.
What we expect of you
You are studying for a technical profession, preferably in information technology or related fields. We appreciate competence in virtualization (VMware, KVM), Windows, Linux , basic IP networking, servers and scripting languages. Previous related experience is appreciated but not required. A reasonable English language skill is a prerequisite and other languages are seen as an advantage. You will be working in a multicultural environment so good team working skills are expected. The position requires basic security clearance approval from Finnish authorities.
The position is full-time for August 2020 and part-time (negotiable 3-4 days a week) during September 2020 -May 2021.
