The telecommunications business of Airbus in Finland is looking for a Development Project Manager to join our company in Helsinki.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing a development project and leading the project core team in line with Airbus processes. Core team consists of all functional work packages (SW, HW, Delivery Capability creation, IV, Quality, Product Management, etc.) that are needed for project execution. Development Project Manager will build up the project management plan together with other project stakeholders. He/she will lead, monitor and control the project, carry out and update the project management plan.
Tasks & Responsibilities
The project manager plan, budget, monitor and report on the project with project management tools. The project manager is the bridge between upper management and the teams tasked with the actual execution of the project. He/she make sure the scope of the project is agreed, reporting regularly on the progress of the project and that it is staying on the approved schedule.
Following skills are expected from you as a candidate for the position:
We are looking for a candidate with a university degree in Engineering together with a minimum of five years' work experience in project management and subcontracting management in an international environment. Good skills in Microsoft Project are desirable. Previous experience of software development and knowledge of TETRA solutions and products are highly appreciated. Knowledge of IP technologies, Linux, virtualization and LTE are considered an advantage.
You have proven project management and people leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills and excellent presentation and communication skills. Working in a multicultural organisation requires strong command of both written and spoken English language. The position is permanent and will start as agreed.
