In Finland, Airbus Defence and Space Oy employs around 370 people in Helsinki and Jyväskylä. Most of our employees work in Secure Land Communications (SLC) business unit, which offers advanced communication and collaboration solutions, compliant with the highest standards of security and reliability, both for mission and business critical users. We help our customers in public safety organizations such as police, defense, fire & rescue, healthcare & hospitals, airports, transportation, oil & gas, and utilities, collaborate in a smart and secure manner. While offering hybrid solutions to support our customers on a smooth evolution path, we are playing an active role in shaping future communications and collaborations technology and setting the ground for new standards.
We are now looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our Sales Team in Helsinki where our ambitious team members are helping and coaching each other every day!
Main role and responsibilities
- Sales and business development responsibility for one or several countries
- Establish and develop the relationships with a variety of ecosystem partners (e.g. SIs, MNOs, distributors, VARs)
- Participate in industrial co-operation by interacting with companies and igniting business through co-projects
- Establish, develop and maintain the stable, long term customer network and long term customer loyalty beyond the completion of the contract
- Develop and implement the sales strategy and business plan
- Campaign development, conduct and control of contract negotiations, as well as responsibility of the result, in accordance with economic, legal and operational principles
- Monitor market and regulation evolution and provide input to the Europe region and SLC strategy and business development as requested
- Contribute to strategic planning and support development of a programme/product strategy for optimal positioning.
What we expect from you
- MBA and/or M.Sc./B.Sc. in a commercial/technical field
- Proven sales success in an international context with B2B and/or B2G customers
- Experience in business development in the telecom or software industry
- Technical understanding and knowledge in data driven business (Cloud, Al and/or loT solutions)
- Experience in business and sales strategy development and planning
- Ability to understand the overall business offering (infra, devices, apps and satellite systems) to create new concepts and lead the market expansion
- Ability to manage multiple projects in several countries at the same time
- Skills in data driven decision-making
- Excellent customer service, presentation and negotiation skills
- Cultural understanding, flexibility and empathy
- High degree of autonomy and willingness to take the initiative
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork and networking skills
- Willingness to travel internationally (appr. one week per month)
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Finnish; other languages are a plus.
The position requires basic security clearance approval from Finnish authorities.
