Sales Trainee

In Finland, Airbus Defence and Space Oy employs around 370 people in Helsinki and Jyväskylä. Most of our employees work in Secure Land Communications (SLC) business unit, which offers advanced communication and collaboration solutions, compliant with the highest standards of security and reliability, both for mission and business critical users. We help our customers in public safety organisations such as police, defence, fire & rescue, healthcare & hospitals, airports, transportation, oil & gas, and utilities, collaborate in a smart and secure manner. While offering hybrid solutions to support our customers on a smooth evolution path, we are playing an active role in shaping future communications and collaborations technology and setting the ground for new standards.
We are now looking for a Sales Trainee to join our Sales Team in our Helsinki office. This is an excellent opportunity to get hands-on experience from sales in a truly global business environment in a well recognized high tech company. In addition to Sales you will get a cross functional view by collaborating closely with Business Development, Marketing, Legal, Finance and Product Lines. The customer base and the geographical coverage is wide including B2C, B2B and B2G customers in over ten European countries. You will have a senior Sales Team member as a mentor and other trainees to exchange thoughts and have fun with. You will get meaningful tasks that can include e.g.
- Shortlisting potential customers and partners
- Sorting out qualifying leads
- Supporting in sales campaign development
- Supporting in preparation to contract negotiations
- Creating a business plan and proposal for targets
- Collecting and sharing business intelligence
- Monitoring market, technology and regulation evolution
- Making competitive analysis
- Updating Salesforce and Confluence page
- Supporting in reporting
- Creating sales and presentation material
- Planning and executing events
- Other tasks according to your skills and experience
What we expect of you
You are aiming for a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and you have preferably completed two or more years of studies. Airbus is committed to offering students meaningful work experience in the early stages of their career so please note that our trainees need to have a student status throughout their employment. A fluent Finnish and English language skills are a prerequisite and other languages are seen as an advantage. We expect you to have willingness to take initiative, good collaboration skills, cultural understanding and a sense of responsibility in conjunction with an ability to assert yourself in a target-oriented manner.
The duration of the trainee period is four months and will start as agreed. The position is full-time from May to August 2023. Possibility to extend the contract as part-time (at least 3 days a week) until the end of 2023 can be discussed during the summer.
