Our telecommunications division of Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an experienced Server Cluster Engineer to join our Customer Maintenance team in Helsinki. 

As a part of continuous product development, we are virtualizing our telecom network elements to run in high availability COTS servers and in virtualized environments. To provide our customers the needed support for these products, we are looking for a specialist for server based and virtualized telecom applications to join our team. We are developing and maintaining complete telecom solutions for our worldwide customers, so with us you have the opportunity to use these systems in our laboratories for end-to-end troubleshooting.

Your responsibilities

Your tasks will be software troubleshooting of complex telecommunication systems (TETRA, LTE), and of the underlying servers and virtualization platforms. As part of our team you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to our customers and our local engineers worldwide and act as a point of contact for queries and support from our areas, resolve complex faults and analyze their impact. You will evaluate changes to product/system/network and interface control to linked product/system/networks.

What we expect from you 

We expect you to have a degree in computer science, telecommunications or related fields and competences in server technology, linux, and virtualization. The position requires basic security clearance approval from Finnish authorities.

We also appreciate if you have experience in

• Modern high availability systems and platforms, clustering, redundancy including georedundancy and load distribution
• IT solution architecture
• IP protocol, networking and backhauling (VoIP, Mobile IP, VLAN, VPN, OSPF, VxLAN)
  
• Security for IT network and applications (Authentication, End-to-end encryption,
  Firewall, Proxy, IPsec, SSL, vulnerability)
• RH satellite, Configuration control and Scripting (Python, Ansible etc.)
• Test Automation (Robot Framework)
• HPE Server Platform products (OneView, ArcSight etc.)
• Good spoken and written English skills.
