We at Airbus Defence and Space Oy are looking for a Purchasing Trainee with a positive attitude to learn more about global supply chain management and willingness to work with our Team of Buyers in Helsinki.

You get to work with meaningful tasks

As a trainee in the Supply Chain / Operational Purchasing Team you will work with our subcontractors and suppliers within a team of experienced co-workers based in Finland and abroad. During the traineeship you will be able to work independently, being responsible for your supplier’s purchase order management and inbound deliveries to our warehouse. The supplier base is formed from both Finnish and international suppliers and you will be in contact with them via email and phone. Communication internally within our company (procurement, finance, product management- and supply chain delivery teams) is also a vital part of the job.

What we expect of you

Our ideal candidate has commercial or technical studies ongoing (from university or university of applied sciences). Airbus is committed to offering students meaningful work experience in the early stages of their career so please note that our trainees need to have a student status throughout their employment.

We expect you to have some level of understanding about supply chain management and purchasing in general. In addition, we see it as a great advantage if you are already familiar with SAP. The person we are looking for has an analytical mindset and has good problem solving skills. In order to succeed in the traineeship you need excellent English skills.

The duration of the trainee period is 5-6 months and will start as agreed in April/May and end in September. The position is full-time during summer months.
