You get to work with meaningful tasks

We are now looking for a Virtualization Trainee to join our Tetra Infra SW team in our Helsinki office. You will work in an international environment with the latest technologies and with a group of highly skilled professionals. We develop high standard SW products for mission and business critical communication systems. You will start the position in one of our ongoing projects with testing automation work. You will work together with the support of the other SW designers to define the testing cases and automate them in CI environment, solve encountered problems and ensure the CI runs smoothly to meet the requirements. You will work in a development team with the interfaces of system architecture, SW designers and I&V testing engineers etc.

What we expect of you

You are aiming for a degree in SW Engineering, Computer Science or Telecommunications. Airbus is committed to offering students meaningful work experience in the early stages of their career so please note that our trainees need to have a student status throughout their employment. A fluent English language skill is a prerequisite and other languages are seen as an advantage. You are a target oriented, self-guided and a motivated team player.

We hope you have following technical competences: Automation experience using Bash and/or Python with Ansible, experience in usage of version control tools, e.g. GIT, CI/CD with Jenkins and familiarity with Agile methodologies. Technical competences that are seen as valuable additions: Robot Framework experience, Linux, virtualization (Qemu+KVM) experience and IP networking.

The duration of the trainee period is 8 months and will start as agreed during spring 2023. The position is full-time during 01.05.2023 – 30.8.2023 and part-time (e.g. 3 days a week) during other times.

The position requires basic security clearance approval from Finnish authorities.
