The programme line Secure Land Communications (SLC) at Airbus Defence and Space develops, markets, delivers and maintains professional and land mobile radio (PMR/LMR) networks based on Tetra and Tetrapol technologies and offers a wide range of radio solutions and devices for customers worldwide, e.g. the police and rescue organizations. The programme line employs nearly 1000 people in 20 countries. In Finland, Airbus Defence and Space Oy employs around 300 people in Helsinki and Jyväskylä.
The telecommunications business of Airbus in Finland is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our PMO team in Jyväskylä. As a Project Manager you will work in an international multi-site environment with product development projects. Our products are devices, accessories, tools and applications for professional use by demanding public safety customers. Public safety communication is relying on TETRA technology for voice communication but at the same time extending to wide band solutions for enriching mission management with video and data services. You will have a key position in working with products enabling the migration for the end user, whether the products are applications for LTE or future technologies or hybrid solutions combining the TETRA and LTE. You will be working with highly skilled project teams, manage a project and lead a project core team according to company processes and practices.
You will coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution of projects, and you have the ability to get best out of your teams. You like to communicate with different internal stakeholders, but you feel comfortable also with the customers with different cultural backgrounds. Your main mission is to ensure deliveries on time, cost, and quality.
You have a university degree in electrical engineering, software or computer science. You have minimum 5 years of experience in project management and subcontracting management in an international environment.

Previous experience in hardware and software development for mobile devices and knowledge of TETRA and LTE solutions and products are highly appreciated.
The position is permanent and will start as agreed.
