Test Laboratory Engineer

Our Test Laboratory team in Helsinki is looking for a Test Laboratory Engineer. The team consists of 9 people who are responsible for maintaining all the test environments used by R&D, Verification, Maintenance and projects teams in operational conditions.
As a member of the Test Laboratory team you are responsible for integrating, maintaining and operating all the test environments used by our internal customers. Your tasks are challenging and varying as the technologies we maintain in the test laboratories cover all our Tetra, hybrid and broadband products: digital technologies, indoor radio & GPS networks and IP networks & protocols as well as the latest virtualized solutions.
You will attend planning and implementation of test environments from the beginning and have an active role in their maintenance, software updates and fault investigation.
Teamwork is important to us and you will therefore be working closely with software designers, testing engineers and other project team members in an agile way to support all projects to develop and maintain all our solutions.
Skills and qualifications needed
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Telecommunications or related field
- We also understand if your studies are still on-going and can offer a flexible employment for someone who is still finalizing their degree
- IP networking knowledge / certifications, such as CCNA
- Knowledge and skills from virtualization environments like Red Hat and VMware
- Competence in configuring Windows and Linux
- Intermediate English (spoken, read, written) is needed to be able to work successfully in the team.
Additional useful qualifications
- Scripting with Ansible and/or Python
- Understanding of LTE Mobile platform technology.
- Understanding of TETRA technology
- Working experience with server hardware
- Atlassian Jira & Confluence experience
- Supportive and enthusiastic team spirit
The position is permanent, will start as agreed and requires basic security clearance approval from Finnish authorities.
