We are now looking for a Test Automation Lead Engineer to join our Integration and Verification team in Helsinki.
Main role and responsibilities
As a Test Automation Lead Engineer you are responsible for developing and deploying test automation for supporting the verification of our new products under development and the entire telecommunication system designed for public safety and security.
The Test Automation Lead Engineer is acting as Technical Leader in a team consisting of Test Automation Engineers who are in charge with Test Automation development, deployment and improvement. You will develop, design, plan & steer Test Automation solutions, tools and improvements. The position requires an active and motivated attitude to drive things forward, to guide and work as a part of a team of specialists whose mission is to automate test scenarios helping to identify problems in developed software for mission and business critical telecommunication systems.
You will work closely with Software Designers, System Architects and other project team members in agile way to improve the quality and maturity of our systems and products.
The tasks you perform as part of the team are challenging and varying - you will work with enthusiastic people from all over the world and be involved in different stages of test automation development and deployment.
Technologies and systems we utilize and wish you have experience of: Robot Framework, Python, Bash / Powershell, CI practices: related tools e.g. Jenkins and Git version control.
What we expect of you
- Master or Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 years’ experience in the fields of software development/testing/test automation
- Self-guided and driven attitude, willingness to develop state of the art products helping to rescue lives
- Motivated team player who aims for organizational and personal development and is willing to coach others on areas they know well
- Analytical skills to develop testing tools and test automation in rather complex telecommunication environments
- Fluent spoken and written English skills
- Interest in planning and negotiating as well as steering and guiding
- Basic IP network understanding
In addition, we appreciate if you have experience of:
- Jira, Xray, Confluence
- C/C++ / Java / or other programming languages
- Basic TETRA understanding
The position is permanent, will start as agreed and requires basic security clearance approval from Finnish authorities.
